Well...the good news is, I LOVE THE MTC! Soooo much. I love spanish. I love singing in spanish. I love praying in spanish. I love my district! They are super great! We have 7 elders and 5 hermanas. We are very blessed to have such a large district. Everyone is so strong and we work hard at the language and are learning a lot about teaching. After less than 24 hours of being here, we could all pray and bear our testimony in espanol. It's pretty amazing. I am in a tri-companionship...with Hermana Richards (from Washington DC going to anaheim california...went to byu...super smart and fluent in french) and Hermana Shumway (from Veyo (sp?)/St.george Utah going to pocatello, Idaho...she is super nice...and has spent most of the summers of her life in pokey and has tons of fam in easter id haha) They are so awesome! We have a lot of fun together and are learning how to teach together. It is good to be in a threesome but it can be hard in some ways...like being on time :) I really love them already though. We taught our first lesson in spanish last night and one in english too. It went well but we still have lots to learn! We definitely were teaching a lesson and not the person...which is the wrong way to do missionary work. But it is reallllly hard when you don't know the language! But we have already seen a lot of amazing experiences with the gift of tongues in our district. We sang Called to Serve on tuesday for the first time since i've been here...it was so powerful! I can feel how important this work is and how important each soul is to the Lord.
